Justice for Children and Youth is an Ontario-based not-for-profit providing legal aid to low income families facing systemic challenges in securing their children’s educations. They came to us for a series of explainer videos that would help parents and children learn about special education programs in Ontario’s education system.

Although they had a very limited budget, we felt strongly about supporting their cause and produced six “whiteboard-style” videos for their website. Each episode centred around a different, relatable main character who helped to guide the viewer through otherwise complex and intimidating topics. The illustrations focused heavily on the characters themselves, along with playful visual metaphors to keep the topics engaging and memorable.
